We collect what you choose to send us, plus basic technical data needed to run and improve the site.

Forms on this site

• Stay updated sign-up: first and last name, email address, which updates you want (Downtown Dova, Dova Arena) and your agreement to this policy.
• Dova Civic Collective question form: name, email address, phone number, your question, an optional answer about retailers, restaurants or services you’d like to see, and your consent to be contacted.
• Vendor and partner interest form: company name, contact name, email address, phone number, type of interest, how you heard about Dova, a short description and your consent to be contacted.

Emails you send us

If you email us or our media team, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Technical and usage information

Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit and when, to keep the site secure and working. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, as described under Cookies and analytics.

• To send the project updates, newsletters and announcements you signed up for.
• To review and respond to questions submitted to the Dova Civic Collective, including answering selected questions during monthly sessions or in follow-up communications.
• To review vendor and partner submissions as planning progresses and contact you about them.
• To respond to emails and media inquiries.
• To operate, secure and improve this website.

When a question is answered during a Civic Collective session, we share the question, not your name or contact details.

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

• The Dova project team. Submissions may be shared with members of the project team, led by KozPure Development, who need them to respond to you or review your interest.
• Service providers. Companies that help us run the site and communicate with you, such as our website host, email delivery and newsletter services, and Google Analytics. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Downtown Dova, our visitors or others.
• Business changes. If the project or this website is transferred to another organization, your information may transfer with it under this policy.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies in two ways:

• Essential cookies that keep the site and its forms working.
• Google Analytics, which sets cookies to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and your approximate location (city or region) based on your IP address. This information is sent to Google, and we use it only in summary form to understand and improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

We do not use advertising cookies.

Do Not Track. There is no common standard for responding to Do Not Track browser signals, so this site does not currently change how it works when it receives one. Other than Google Analytics as described above, we do not allow other companies to collect personal information about you through this site.

This site links to news coverage, partner websites, project documents and Zoom, which hosts the Civic Collective meetings. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. If you join a Civic Collective meeting on Zoom, Zoom’s privacy policy applies to that session.

• Unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
• Review, correct or delete the information you have sent us by emailing info@downtowndova.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
• Opt out of analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser’s cookie settings.

If you live in California, you can request a copy of, or ask us to correct or delete, the personal information you have submitted through this site using the contact details below. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every page. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it promptly unless we are legally required to keep it.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. By submitting information through this site’s forms or by email, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please do not submit any personal information. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

This site is operated in the United States, and information you submit is stored and processed in the United States.

We may update this policy as the project and website change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
